New paper explores origins of Tasmanian granites

A new paper, published in Gondwana Research, explores the origins of Tasmanian Granites. The paper is the result of an international collaboration between research institutions in Australia, Canada, and the United States, including Mineral Resources Tasmania.

The study aimed to determine zircon O and Lu–Hf isotope constraints on, and relationships between, the magmas forming the Tasmanian Devonian granites, to compare these with similar studies in other regions of the Lachlan Fold Belt, and to determine associations to granitic metal endowment.
