Engineering Geology Maps
Information specifically relating to landslides or land instability is provided on the Landslides page.

Engineering Geology of the Greater Hobart Area, Map 1 (1990) 1:25 000
Engineering Geology of the Greater Hobart Area, Map 2 (1990) 1:25 000
Engineering Geology - Ulverstone (1991) 1:10 000
Associated reports are available for these maps:
Engineering Geology of the Greater Hobart Area (1991)
Ulverstone Engineering Geology Project (1994)
Launceston Urban Mapping Project (1996)
This was a joint project between local government and Mineral Resources Tasmania.
Three 1:25 000 scale compilation maps have been produced to cover the 145 km2 project area. The themes available are:
Geology, 1:25 000 scale compilation
Engineering Geology, 1:25 000 scale compilation
Advisory Landslide Zoning, 1:25 000 scale compilation (see Note 2)
Larger scale maps, at 1:10 000 scale, have been produced to cover six sub-areas (see index map below). The three themes (geology, engineering geology and advisory landslide zoning) are also available for each of the 1:10 000 scale areas.
Launceston Urban Mapping Project - Geology (6 Maps) (1996)
Launceston Urban Mapping Project - Engineering Geology (6 Maps) (1996)
Launceston Urban Mapping Project - Advisory Landslide Zoning (6 Maps) (1996) (see note 2)
Note 1: The legend for the Launceston Engineering Geology maps is provided on a separate sheet including a table of typical engineering properties for each mapped unit.
Note 2: The Advisory Landslide Zoning maps in this series (except the Hadspen area) have now been superseded by the Tasmanian Landslide Map Series - Launceston, 2005
