Drill core and sample viewing requests

MRT's vast collection of drill core, cuttings and samples is available for viewing by members of the general public by appointment.

While Mornington Core Library staff are happy to lay out samples and core trays for inspection and/or sampling, five working days prior notice is required in order for staff to fit requests into their schedule. MRT may consider a request with less than five days notice, if time and resources are available, however accommodation of requests at such short notice cannot be guaranteed.

Use of MRT pXRF is by arrangement only contact MRT-Laboratories@stategrowth.tas.gov.au prior to viewing days. Use of pXRF requires citing of Licence and Training documentation by Core Library Staff prior to visit.

Appointments may be made by submitting either of the online forms available below.
